After the great eruption of Merapi in Oct. 2010 that ruined most of the holes, the course was reconstructed and is ready to welcome guests again. Located 800 meters above sea level with cool climate and amazing views from Merapi and Indian Ocean, the 18-hole course designed by Thomson, Wolveridge&Perret must be tried by golf lovers once they have a chance to visit Yogyakarta. It is only 30-minute drive from the heart of the city.
The greens are a bit tricky as most of the putting lanes toward Merapi look like heading downhill, where they are actually uphill. However, trained and experienced caddies are ready to give their hands to help.
